ABOUT CLIFFDALE COMMUNITY CHURCH

Our vision is simple: we want to save lives, albeit, spiritual lives. We want to be the church that rocks this community. How can we do that? By reaching into the community and loving people like you.

Have you ever been on a mission? We have. Our mission is to turn everyday people into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Our church is simply the base station from which we plan our missions.

THE BIBLE AND SALVATION IN A NUTSHELL

We believe that the Bible is the authoritative and infallible Word of God. Although it wasn’t written in God’s hand, it is God inspired. That means that the individuals who wrote the books of the Bible were all inspired and directed by God to write. We believe that God is the author of all creation and our existence is by design, not by accident. The Bible tells us that God wanted so badly to draw his wayward creation back to him that he sent his Son (Jesus Christ). Jesus lived among us and died for us. In doing so he took individual responsibility for our sins. We can never make up for our sins by self-improvement or good works. Only by accepting Jesus Christ as God’s offer for forgiveness can we be saved from the penalty of sin. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus into our life.

WHAT IS THE HOLY TRINITY?

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Imagine three personalities of one body; separate yet the same.

TO BE LIKE GOD

We are all made in the spiritual and moral image of God. We are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although mankind has tremendous potential for good, we are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. This attitude separates us from God.

WHO IS JESUS…REALLY?

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Three days after his death he rose again to demonstrate his power over sin. He ascended into Heaven at God’s right hand and will return again to reign as the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

IS THE HOLY SPIRIT REALLY A GHOST?

Ummm…no. The Spirit is a separate but equal personality of the one true God. The purpose of the Sprit is to make mankind aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. The Spirit provides the Christian with power of living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right.
