"Get the belt"
Ephesians 6:10–14 is the beginning of Paul's teaching about the "armor of God." In this passage, Paul encourages believers to be strong through God's power and to stand firm against spiritual challenges and evil influences. He explains that the struggle is not ultimately against other people, but against spiritual forces of evil.
Verses 13–14 introduce the first pieces of God's armor:
The belt of truth — living with honesty and holding firmly to God's truth.
The breastplate of righteousness — pursuing a righteous life and relying on
God's righteousness for protection.
The overall message is that Christians should depend on God's strength and equip themselves with spiritual virtues so they can remain faithful and steadfast in difficult times. The passage continues through verse 18 with additional pieces of armor and instructions for prayer.
